(“TailBus,” “we” or “us”) at our website, (the “Website”), (collectively, such Website and transportation booking services, the “Services”).

This is the Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) of TailBus, Inc. ("TailBus" or "us" or "we"). TailBus is committed to maintaining privacy protections for its users. Our Privacy Policy was developed as an extension of our commitment to combine crowdsourced transportation services on chartered vehicles with integrity in dealing with our users. The Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect, use and store the personal information you provide to us. Our Terms of Use, which incorporates by reference this Privacy Policy, governs your use of our Services, any content or information therein, the TailBus website at and any subdomains thereof (the "Website", and collectively with transportation booking services, the “Service”). By using the Service or the Website, you accept the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use and you expressly consent to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.


We collect “Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks. Personal Information includes information that can be linked to a specific individual, such as a name, address, telephone number, payment information, email address, login information for third party sites and other information which you submit to us at the Website. TailBus does not collect any Personal Information when you do basic searches on the Website. However, certain services we provide require you to authorize us to collect Personal Information.

Information collected via Technology

In an effort to improve the quality of the Service, we track information provided to us by your browser when you view the Website or use the Service, such as your Internet service provider, the website you came from (known as the “referring URL”), the type of browser you use, your operating system, the device from which you connected to the Service, the time and date of access, the Website pages viewed, time spent at our Website, the sites visited just before and just after our Website, and other information that does not personally identify you. We track this information using cookies, or small text files which include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are a feature of web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.) software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a site. They are small pieces of data that are stored by a user's web browser on one site to simplify subsequent interactions with that site by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user's transaction on related web pages. Cookies are sent to a user’s browser from our servers and are stored on the user’s computer hard drive. Sending a cookie to a user’s browser enables us to collect Non-Personal information about that user and keep a record of the user’s preferences when utilizing our services, both on an individual and aggregate basis. For example, TailBus may use cookies to collect the following information:

  • Trip bookings

TailBus may use both persistent and session cookies; persistent cookies remain on your computer after you close your session and until you delete them, while session cookies expire

If you wish to disable Cookies, you may do so by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Website. On most web browsers, you will find a “help” section on the toolbar. Please refer to this section for information on how to receive notification when you are receiving a new cookie and how to turn cookies off. The Website does not currently recognize browser “do not track” signals.

Information you provide us by using the Service

In addition to the information provided automatically by your browser when you visit the Website, you will provide us with personally identifiable information, such as your email address, name, date of birth, payment information (including payment address) and login information for third party sites (e.g. Facebook) (a “Social Network Site”). To use certain elements of the Service (e.g. to create a Trip or reserve a seat on a Trip) you will need to register and create a personal profile. By registering, you are authorizing us to collect, store and use Personal Information, including your email address, in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

If you login to the Service using your account information for a Social Network Site, we access and collect information about your use of the Social Network Site and information you provide to such Social Network Site. To the extent you and the Social Network Site allow, we may access all of your information that is publicly available to other users of the Social Network Site and all information you have provided to the Social Network Site, such as login e-mail and other contact information, network statistics and updates regarding your Social Network Site account. You consent to such access and our collection, storage and use of this information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Use of the Service or the Website

You need to be 18 years of age in order to book a ticket on a Trip using the Service. TailBus doesn’t knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from children under 13. If a child under 13 has provided us with personally identifiable information without parental or guardian consent, the parent or guardian should contact us at the email address provided below to remove the information and opt out of promotional opportunities. Personal Information

In general, the Personal Information you provide to us is used to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to contact users in connection with the provision of Service to users, in response to questions, to solicit feedback from users, to provide technical support, and to inform users about promotional offers. We share your full name with Charter Operators, who use that information to confirm your identity when you arrive at the passenger pick-up location at the departure time for your Trip. Charter Operators use your Personal Information only at our direction and in accordace with our Privacy Policy. We may also provide your information to third parties for the processing of that information solely for our benefit, but we will not provide your information to any third party for marketing purposes except in connection with information requests you make that involve third parties or in connection with events that involve presentations or sponsorship by third parties.

All payments and credit card transactions are processed by our third party payment processor, Stripe, and not by TailBus. Any credit card and billing address information that you provide through the Service is collected by Stripe and is governed by such Stripe’s separate privacy policy, available at Please consult Stripe’s privacy policy. You will be subject to Stripe’s privacy policies to the extent that you provide your information to Stripe in order to conduct transactions through the Service. TailBus does not control and is not responsible for the privacy policies of Stripe or other third parties.

We do not sell your name, email, contact, or payment information (if collected) to anyone.

Non-Personal Information

In general, we use Non-Personal Information to help us improve the Service and customize the user experience. We also may aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze use patterns on the Website. Periodically, we might share aggregated information on usage behavior such as booking patterns, preferences on Trip routes for market research or other purposes and will not contain any personal identification information of any individual. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion.

Mergers, Acquisitions and Similar Business Transactions

In the event we undergo a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your Personal Information as well as Non-Personal Information may be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge and consent that such transfers may occur and are permitted by this Privacy Policy, and that any acquirer of our assets may continue to process your Personal Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy. If our information practices change at any time in the future, we will post the policy changes to the Website so that you may opt out of the new information practices. Sharing Information with the Government or As Otherwise Required by Law

TailBus cooperates with government and law enforcement officials to enforce and comply with the law. We may therefore disclose your information as listed above, if we have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request, (b) enforce our Terms of Use or a Charter Operator Terms, including investigation of potential violations thereof, (c) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues, or (d) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of TailBus, its users or the public as required or permitted by law.


We implement security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure or accidental loss or destruction of Non-Personal Information and Personal Information. We further protect your information from potential security breaches by implementing certain technological security measures including encryption, firewalls and secure socket layer technology. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such firewalls and secure server software. Although we take reasonable steps to safeguard and prevent unauthorized access to your personally identifiable information, we can't be responsible for the acts of those who gain unauthorized access, and we make no warranty, express, implied or otherwise, that we will prevent such access. By visiting the Website and using the Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks. Communications you may have with us via email or U.S. Mail may not be secure unless we advise you that security measures are in place prior to your sending information. Therefore, if you choose to communicate with us through these means, you are assuming the risk of doing so and we request that you do not send or post sensitive information through these means.


You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When we send a promotional communication to a user, the user can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional e-mail. Please note that notwithstanding the promotional preferences you indicate by either unsubscribing or opting out in the Settings section of the Website, we may continue to send you administrative emails including, for example, in order to effectively provide you with the Service and periodic updates to our Privacy Policy.


As part of the Service, we may provide links to and connect you to other websites or compatibility with other websites or applications. Some of these sites may even be co-branded with the TailBus name or logo. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those websites or the information or content they contain. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us through the Website and the Service. Therefore, this Privacy Policy does not apply to your use of a third party website accessed by selecting a link on the Website or via the Service. TailBus may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. When we do update this Privacy Policy, we will also revise the "Last Updated" date at the top and bottom of the Privacy Policy. If we make changes to the Privacy Policy that, in our discretion, we consider significant, we may send e-mails to our users who have created a TailBus account containing a link to the revised Privacy Policy. Significant changes will go into effect 30 days following such notification. Non-material changes or clarifications will take effect immediately. TailBus is a corporation organized under the laws of Delaware. The Website and the servers upon which the Website is hosted are located in the United States. Those who access or use the Service or the Website from other jurisdictions do so at their own choice and risk and are solely responsible for compliance with local law. Please note that the personal information you submit using the Service may be transferred to and stored in the United States to be processed by us so we can provide the Service and the Website to you as set forth in this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. If you are not a resident of the United States, you acknowledge and agree that we may collect and use your personal information outside your home jurisdiction, and that we may store your personal information in the United States.
